The Decemberists + Parks & Recreation + Infinite Jest = This
The video for The Decemberists tune, “Calamity Song” was directed by Michael Schur of Parks and Recreation and re-creates the “Eschaton” game in David Foster Wallace’s book, “Infinite Jest.” Albeit it with a kinder ending to poor Otis P. Lord (the kid in the beanie) than the book has.
